The investment objective of the Segregated Account is to achieve capital growth by reinvesting distributions and generating capital appreciation. The assets of the Segregated Account will be mainly invested in unlisted investment vehicles, mutual funds and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). The Segregated Account is denominated in US Dollars, however, it may invest in securities denominated in other currencies. In pursuing its investment objective, the Segregated Account may use all types of financial derivative instruments products traded on a regulated market and/or over-the-counter (OTC). In particular, the Segregated Account may take exposure through any financial derivative instrument, such as but not limited to warrants, futures, options, swaps (including but not limited to total return swaps, contracts for difference, credit default swaps) and forwards on any eligible underlying, such as currencies (including non-delivery forwards), interest rates, transferable securities, a diversified basket of transferable securities and financial indices.
Investors are informed that the Segregated Account may be exposed to foreign exchange/currency risk. If the Investment Manager considers this to be in the best interest of the Investor Shareholders, and notably for defensive purposes on a temporary basis, the Segregated Account may also hold up to 100% of its net assets in liquidities such as (but not limited to) cash deposits, money market funds and money market instruments. The Segregated Account may use bridge financing to meet its objective subject to limits established by the Banker.
The Segregated Account will have considerable flexibility in the range of its investments. There will be no restrictions or formal policies limiting the investment powers of the Segregated Account.
