The investment objective of the Fund will be the implementation of investment strategies that significantly reduce the risks linked to the variation in the main costs involved in the activity of generating and selling electricity from the consumption of crude oil and of diesel oil in the Brazilian domestic market, during the period of the year when the hydroelectric power generation system (main element of the Brazilian energy matrix) has less generation, that is, during periods of drought (decrease in the regime of tropical rains and subtropics), in certain Brazilian geographic zones.
